Our story didn’t begin with a big moment—it began quietly in the ER.
We crossed paths for years through work. I was an ER tech , and Cameron was a patrol officer. We knew each other, talked whenever we’d see one another, and went on with life. When I later started working EMS in the same city where Cameron was a police officer, our paths continued to overlap.
In September of 2019, I finally made the first move by liking one of his older profile pictures (because subtlety). I was told it probably wouldn’t work—but Cameron caught on immediately and messaged me. A week or two later, we went on our first date.
What followed has been a journey full of change, growth, and becoming better versions of ourselves—both individually and together. Along the way, we also became parents to our puppy child, Cooper, who quickly made himself the center of our little world.
In December of 2024, Cameron asked me to marry him on Havana’s Main Street, surrounded by Christmas lights. He knew how much I loved the way they hang in the trees—and somehow made a moment I already cherished even more beautiful.
We are so lucky to do life together, and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter with the people we love most.
